

After Sam hears a voicemail from his father that contains electronic voice phenomenon of a woman saying, "I can never go home," he agrees to help Dean in the search. Though the brothers have not spoken in years, Dean comes looking for help in finding their father, who disappeared while hunting a supernatural entity. Later that night, Dean ( Jensen Ackles) shows up at Sam's home. Twenty-two years later in 2005, a 23-year-old Sam ( Jared Padalecki) and his girlfriend Jessica Moore ( Adrianne Palicki) celebrate his high LSAT score. She bursts into flames, and John is forced to evacuate the house with Sam and his older son, Dean, while the house erupts into flames. Her husband, John ( Jeffrey Dean Morgan), is awoken by her screams and finds her pinned to the ceiling with a slash across her stomach. She sees a figure standing over his crib, and then she goes downstairs and sees her husband sleeping on the sofa, realizing that the person upstairs is an intruder, she goes to confront him. In 1983 in Lawrence, Kansas, Mary Winchester ( Samantha Smith) investigates a sound coming from her infant son Sam's nursery. It received mixed reviews, with critics praising the horror elements but having varying opinions of the lead actors' performances. The episode established the series' tradition of a rock-music soundtrack, and included background music scored by Kripke's friend Christopher Lennertz. The episode was produced in Los Angeles, though future episodes were filmed in Vancouver, British Columbia, to save money. Before it could be filmed, the script underwent numerous revisions. Kripke was developing the concept for ten years before it was greenlit as a television series. The Supernatural pilot introduced the characters of Sam ( Jared Padalecki) and Dean Winchester ( Jensen Ackles), brothers who travel throughout the country hunting supernatural creatures, as they battled a ghostly Woman in White ( Sarah Shahi) while searching for their missing father ( Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

Visitors to this small cemetery believe the woods behind the property is haunted. Employees and visitors to the complex often report hearing voices and having the goose-bump feeling of being watched. However, one ward contains a museum of the hospital's history that you can visit with an appointment to view medical artifacts, tools and furniture. Clarinda Treatment Complexīuilt in 1888 as Iowa's third mental health institution, the building now houses the Clarinda Treatment Complex, a correctional campus and human services location.

Guests have reported seeing and hearing everything from shadow figures and voices to unexplained sounds like moans, screams and footsteps. Malvern Manorīuilt in the 1880s as the town's first hotel, the building has since gone through various owners, once housing a nursing home and group home, before being bought by the current owner. In the basement, the apparition of a woman wearing white is often seen and the face of a man follows guests down the halls. However, the building reportedly houses several unwelcomed guests. In 1982, a local family purchased the property and restored it to the hotel it is today. Built in 1917 as a luxury hotel, the building was then closed in 1973 and sat abandoned for nearly a decade.
