He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Norma Lee Crisp. A former pilot with a love for flying, if you ever started an airplane conversation with Ron, you'd better have some time to spare, because you where going to be there a while! Ron loved NASCAR, Baylor sports and playing cornhole and could be found looking off their deck in Ruidoso for elk and deer. Additional morning duties included tracking the weather in the cities of each grandchild and checking in on all of us if we were sick, traveling or just seeing how our day was going. Following his retirement from Constructors, Inc., Ron and Carol retired to Ruidoso, NM.Ī very proud husband and father, "Pops" would tell everyone who would listen about his children, grandchildren and, in recent years, great-grandchildren!Īlways rising before 6:00 AM, Ron started his day with his iPad, sending the encouraging Word of Jesus to family, co-workers and friends around the world. where his co-workers became his second family. He then began working for Constructors, Inc. Ron was a general contractor building houses in Artesia for many years. He married Carol Ann Usherwood on Apin Quincy, IL and later came to Artesia in 1976 after a time in Vero Beach, FL. Ron was born Octoin Piedmont, WV to Luther Tasker and Ruth Shugars Tasker.
